Return & Warranty Policy
This Refund & Return Policy sets out the terms under which Diesel Talk accepts returns, issues refunds, and provides warranty support for products purchased through our website. By placing an order, you (“you”, “the customer”, or “the buyer”) agree to be bound by the terms set out below.
1. Product Images and Descriptions
1.1. Certain product images displayed on our website may be generic or library images used for illustrative purposes only.
1.2. The actual product or quantity supplied may vary from the image shown.
1.3. It is the customer’s responsibility to read the full product description and specifications prior to purchase.
1.4. A 15% restocking fee applies where a misunderstanding of the product listing results in an incorrect purchase, including but not limited to situations where a single item is purchased in error instead of a set.
2. Returns
2.1. We accept returns within 30 days of the date the goods are delivered.
2.2. No returns will be accepted under any circumstances after the 30-day period has expired.
2.3. Returned goods must be received in their original condition, including all parts, packaging, accessories, and documentation.
2.4. Goods that have been damaged, altered, modified, or tampered with after delivery will not be eligible for return.
2.5. Unless otherwise required by law, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping for all non-faulty items.
2.6. A 15% restocking fee will apply to returns due to:
- Change of mind
- Incorrect purchase
- Customer misunderstanding of the product description or suitability
2.7. Customers must contact us to obtain return instructions before sending items back. Goods returned without prior authorisation may not be accepted.
3. Refunds
3.1. Refunds will only be issued once the returned goods have been inspected and confirmed to be in acceptable condition.
3.2. Refunds are typically processed within 3–5 business days from the date the returned goods are received.
3.3. For change-of-mind or incorrect purchases:
- Original postage costs are non-refundable; and
- The applicable restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
3.4. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
4. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
4.1. If goods arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described, the customer must notify us as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.
4.2. Upon verification of the issue, we will, at our discretion:
- Provide a replacement (subject to stock availability); or
- Issue a full refund, including reasonable return shipping costs.
4.3. All used and tested parts sold by us are covered by a 3-month warranty, unless otherwise stated on the product listing.
4.4. Warranty claims may be denied where evidence of misuse, incorrect installation, modification, or damage caused by external factors is identified.
5. Exclusions
5.1. The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Goods that have been installed, dismantled, modified, or tampered with
- Goods damaged due to improper installation or misuse
- Goods damaged by external factors such as contamination, overheating, or lack of maintenance
5.2. Warranty does not cover labour costs, diagnostic expenses, or any consequential loss arising from product failure.
6. Customer Responsibility
6.1. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that the product purchased is compatible with their vehicle.
6.2. We accept no liability for damages, losses, or costs arising from the purchase of an incompatible part.
6.3. If uncertain, customers are encouraged to contact us before making a purchase.
